And we have also received calls from this number with different variations including 02 8887 8657 so whether or not these people are the same or they change their phone number a few times..... If anyone claims to be from "Telstra" even if they sound genuine Telstra will never call you about NBN (unless you call them first!)

A lady keeps calling me saying she is from "Telstra" and say they need to validate our fibre optic connection. I contacted Telstra via their website and the person said this phone number & company is owned by Telstra but is NOT Telstra and they should not be asking for details. Telstra will never call you about NBN. I politely declined to answer her questions and said we have already validated with someone else.
