They said they are an energy comparison organisation. I initially thought it was some pathetic marketing ploy but reading some of these posts make it even more concerning.

If this number rings, DO NOT answer, nor call back. This is yet another number, currently allocated to Australian VoIP / Dial In Direct operator Symbio Networks for use by anyone in the world, which is being used for questionable purposes. From recent posts, it appears that this number is being used to "mine" Australian voices, perhaps to be used in conjunction with other personal information gathered at another time. This information is used internally for internal use, or for on-selling to other scam operations in countries where scamming these practices have been allowed to flourish into 9 (or more) figure businesses behind a facade of "legitimacy".

Very persistent "poor English" speaking sales or scam. Hard to understand what they actually want - but know who you are... I have now blocked 12 numbers from same callers.
