Caller Type: Scam

SCAM & FRAUD ALERT - Ute Stolen (contacted me via mobile: +61403 118 534) Deposit paid by Mark “Angello” approx 3PM on the 5th February at the Westpac branch in Southport. Deal was confirmed and the agreed day for pickup of vehicle was for Monday the 17th of February, with an outstanding balance of $600 to be paid at time of pickup. Thursday a tow truck driver arrives but has no idea of a balance owing and leaves the vehicle as is. Saturday the vehicle is collected but Mark then argues he is only paying $500. We agree and a bank deposit was to be made. No funds or transaction receipt have been received. The vehicle will be reported stolen with all supporting evidence to Police.

Took a while to be able to hear the caller/for the connection to come through. Said they were from some Broker (didn't catch the name), and asked how old I was? Have been calling from many AU phone numbers over the past few weeks, I think. Clearly in an overseas call center though.
