Scam number just tried pretending to be the tax department

Received random phishing SMS from this unfamiliar number on 01/04/17 which contained a link to retrieve a hoax MMS. Called and spoke with a male who claimed he was located in Perth W.A and that he had received a spoof SMS message from a friend which had been forwarded to his entire contact list after he clicked the link in the SMS. I was not a contact of this person however. Never met or soken to this number, ever. Have reported the matter to my telco provider and notified ACORN. Caution!!
