Scam- tells you that you're son has been involved in a car accident and they are from a towing company that's moved the vehicle, but due to your son having no insurance, he's given us your contact details as he was unable to pay Obvious scam as I don't have a Son and how informal it presented beware

My 19 year old son had a car for sale on carsales and Laura contacted me saying that she lived in Charleville and was coming to the Gold Coast the following weekend to look at cars. She needed a car with a roadworthy because they were just coming for the day so (stupidly) I told my son to organise one during the week. So this weekend has just been a series of confusing stories and no replies from her. Looking back, I should have known that it was a scam or at least time-wasting for fun. But I hope that she's enjoying her big joke making my son just spend $110 for an unnecessary roadworthy. Class act!
