Called looking for a person I've never heard of. They would not tell me how they got my number or how they knew my name. Very disturbing.

ikki July 7, 2020 Scam call Australia 0 Caller: Pioneer Credit They called me left a voicemail asking to phone back, they also texted me from 0428 105 108 Please contact Shaun as soon as possible on (08) 6214 4419 regarding an important matter. I phoned they said they were going to record the call etc etc I said good that's what we will need … Shaun wasn't available but I was asked did I know someone called Cougar Lee no I don't but I said yes they then asked me for contact details of that person I refused and said I was terminating the call as I was not interested in someone's financial affairs and mine were fine. I asked how they had my number and was told they were using public data ….They are definitely fishing for something ….

Caller Type: Debt Collector

Called looking for my neighbour and gave me the first name of the person they were searching for. Refused to give me their company name for "privacy reasons". Kept telling me they were calling from a company in Perth and that was all they could tell me. Suspect it is a debt collector because they told be they got my number from a public database called CASPAR (which is used by debt collecting agencies, I've since found)

supposedly a credit company. Knows my name but asks for my full name and date of birth for "security reasons". I refused and hung up.

Caller was asking whether I could pass a message onto someone I knew only by name. They said it was important which struck me as weird since they could contact them directly.
