Rang westpac bank I choose the call back option they they provided me my call back number was 02-91550000 I rang off my mobile phone I tried calling the number just to be told it's not connected

The caller said she was from St George Bank and that she needed me to identify myself.
When I asked what the call was about I was told that she could not tell me until I gave her my identity details.
This went backwards and forwards, and in the end I hung up.
