It is claimed to be from the ATO. They threaten to arrest you and try to trick you to call them back at the same number. Who gave our numbers to these scammers? Is there any law to stop them from calling us?

Just received a call from this number, I let it go to voicemail. The call was from an automated recording saying if I didn't call back they would issue an arrest warrant. Clearly a scam but is worrying for people who are unaware.

Someone called me today from this number and said that ATO is looking after me and I have been issued a arrest warrant from the federal Police. So they demanded me to pay $4000 so they could stop police who is arresting me in next one hour.
I rang my Lawyer and informed about this and he told me they are scammers.
